SWAPD No-Offsite Policy
SWAPD, operated by VEYYO Limited Partnership (Canada) as Merchant of Record, requires that all communications and transactions related to digital assets or services listed on our platform remain exclusively within SWAPD. This policy is essential for ensuring the safety, compliance, and integrity of our marketplace.
Rationale for the Policy
1. Safety and Security
All transactions conducted through SWAPD are subject to strict compliance checks, AML/KYC procedures, and transaction monitoring. Moving transactions offsite circumvents these safeguards and significantly increases the risk of fraud, scams, money laundering, or other illicit activities.
2. Conflict Resolution
Disputes can only be resolved fairly when all communications and transactions occur within the SWAPD platform. Offsite dealings deprive both parties of SWAPD’s structured resolution process and legally binding transaction records.
3. Compliance with Merchant of Record Structure
As the Merchant of Record, SWAPD is legally responsible for processing payments and issuing invoices to buyers. Offsite transactions create regulatory exposure, undermine SWAPD’s legal obligations, and void any protections available under our Terms of Service.
4. Platform Sustainability
Transaction fees fund operational costs, regulatory compliance, security, and continued improvements to the platform. Offsite transactions bypass this structure, jeopardizing platform sustainability and diminishing protections for all members.
5. Quality Assurance and Transparency
By keeping transactions onsite, SWAPD maintains a verifiable chain of custody over communications, payments, and digital asset transfers. This ensures trust, transparency, and enforceability of obligations between parties.
Consequences of Violation
Engaging in or soliciting offsite transactions constitutes a material breach of the SWAPD Terms of Service. Consequences may include:
- Immediate suspension or permanent closure of the user’s account.
- Forfeiture of access to active or pending transactions.
- Ineligibility to recover funds through SWAPD’s dispute resolution or refund mechanisms.
- Potential reporting to relevant regulatory or law enforcement authorities in cases of suspected fraud, money laundering, or other unlawful activity.
User Responsibility
All members are required to:
- Conduct all communications, negotiations, and payments through SWAPD.
- Report any attempt to move a transaction offsite by tagging @Administrators or contacting support@swapd.co.
- Acknowledge that any transaction conducted outside SWAPD is entirely at their own risk and is not covered by SWAPD’s protections.
By continuing to use SWAPD, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this No-Offsite Policy as an integral condition of your participation on the platform.
