Ticket Status: Services In Progress

Effective Date: Sep 1st, 2025

Services in Progress – What Does It Mean?

When your Checkout Ticket is marked as Services in Progress, it means a subcontractor is actively performing the service or providing the asset described in the Checkout Ticket. Timelines vary depending on the agreement but remain binding once the ticket begins.

Services in Progress – No Prepayment

If a Checkout Ticket is marked Services in Progress – No Prepayment, it means the subcontractor has chosen to begin work before the Buyer has transferred funds to SWAPD (operated by VEYYO Limited Partnership, Canada, as Merchant of Record).

This arrangement is typically used in limited circumstances, such as when:

  • The subcontractor is new to the platform and elects to build trust.
  • The service scope requires initial demonstration before payment.
  • SWAPD staff determine the arrangement is acceptable given the risk profile.

In such cases, the Buyer enters into a binding obligation to submit full payment to SWAPD upon confirmation that the subcontractor has delivered in accordance with the Checkout Ticket.

Important Points to Keep in Mind

  • Risk of No Prepayment – Subcontractors assume the risk of starting work without advance payment. Buyers remain legally obligated to pay once delivery is confirmed.
  • Prepayment May Be Required – SWAPD reserves the right to require partial or full prepayment from the Buyer before services begin if the risk level is deemed too high.
  • Monitoring – Tickets set to Services in Progress may not be continuously monitored. If assistance is needed, tag the assigned admin or use @Administrators.
  • Failure to Deliver – If the subcontractor does not deliver within the agreed timeframe, SWAPD may close the Checkout Ticket without payment.
  • Bypassing Prohibited – Buyers must never pay subcontractors directly. All payments must go through SWAPD as MoR.
