We’ve noticed a rising trend where some high-profile SWAPD members are getting either demoted or straight-up banned due to issues with non-payments. Here’s the typical situation:
- A SWAPD buyer has an offsite client.
- The buyer purchases a service (e.g., an unban) without prepayment.
- After the service is completed, the buyer’s client refuses to pay for various reasons (found another solution, demands proof, etc.).
- The SWAPD seller gets left high and dry, out of time and money.
- The buyer ends up banned or demoted for failing to pay up.
Sellers, start protecting yourselves. Always take prepayments, and if things go sideways, remember that losing a small refund fee is way better than getting burned for $5,000 - $15,000.
Buyers, if you’re dealing with offsite clients, pre-collect your payments. If you don’t, we will hold you accountable. It doesn’t matter if you’re VIP/DC/MC/MMC/Partner—if you stiff a seller, you’re getting tossed. Don’t pass your problems on to someone else. We’ll take action.
