We promised you more categories. Here’s the first one.
Over the past few weeks we’ve been talking about expanding SWAPD beyond its traditional roots. Well, today we’re taking the first step. Many users gave tons of ideas for new categories such as web dev/AI/etc. But, we feel SWAPD wasn’t meant for that. We want SWAPD to be a place for rare to find services, becoming another UpWork or Fiverr is not the path we want to take.
This category is a bit of an experiment. It might sit empty for a while, or it might become one of the most unique categories on the internet. That’s entirely up to you. The opportunity is there for those willing to build it. The first subcontractors to establish themselves in a brand new category often become the names everyone remembers.
Digital Intelligence is designed for legitimate online investigations and research. Whether you’re verifying a seller before a five figure purchase, investigating a suspicious website, identifying the operator behind a public brand or social media page, tracing blockchain activity, performing due diligence on a business, or researching digital assets before acquiring them, this is the place.
As always, we’ve added a few ground rules.
Are lookups allowed on SWAPD?
Traditional lookups known in this industry are not allowed. Subcontractors may not disclose information obtained through hacked, leaked, stolen, or otherwise unlawful sources.
However, investigations involving businesses, brands, websites, companies, domains, and public digital assets are perfectly welcome, provided the information comes from lawful, publicly available sources. For example, researching who operates SocialMedia.com/I_Love_Cats is acceptable. Looking up private information about @John_Doe is not.
Can subcontractors provide phone numbers or email addresses?
Only public business contact information intentionally published by the owner or organization may be included in reports. Private phone numbers, personal email addresses, residential addresses, and other nonpublic personal information are strictly prohibited.
What methods are allowed?
Public source research (OSINT) and information the buyer is legally authorized to access.
If your service relies on hacking, leaked databases, malware, spyware, social engineering, unauthorized access, or any other illegitimate method, it does not belong on SWAPD.
Why are crypto payments required?
Due to the nature of investigative services and the additional compliance considerations surrounding this category, all transactions in Digital Intelligence must be paid for using cryptocurrency only.

Like every new category we’ve introduced over the years, this one will only become successful if the right subcontractors step up. If you have experience in online investigations, due diligence, blockchain intelligence, digital footprint analysis, brand research, ownership verification, or similar services, now is your chance to become one of the first names buyers associate with this space.

We’ve got plenty more category ideas coming, some conventional, some very much not. As always, we’re looking for opportunities that are difficult to find elsewhere and fit the unique spirit that made SWAPD what it is today.
