Can you believe it? 2024 is approaching! Let’s recap what’s happened over the past 12 months on SWAPD, and shine some light on what the future holds.

2023 has been quite the year, and frankly, I think we’re all in denial it’s over already. In just ~2 weeks, we’ll be writing 2024. This year, like last year, the world is still at war. Our thoughts go out to the good and innocent people all around the world, of every faith and nationality, who are caught in the crossfire of political agendas.

But despite unrest, SWAPD prevails! Here’s what we’re looking at!

In 2023, we welcomed 125 new VIP members, 30 new Diamond Club members, and 2 new Millionaire Club members. Overall, 12,800 new members joined SWAPD in 2023. All of you combined, contributed to SWAPD processing ~10 million USD in transactions this year.

Our members created 24,000 topics, 106,000 posts, and gave out 252,000 post likes this year.

In 2023, our staff team handled 10,500 checkout tickets, sent 270,000 customer support messages, made 58,000 edits to listings, reviewed 1,700 flags and reports of misbehavior, and suspended 1,260 SWAPD accounts refusing to follow our rules. Our staff team currently consists of 8 people, doing their absolute best to accomodate everyone as quickly as possible. This team make themselves available every day, weekends and holidays included. A big shoutout to them!

In 2023, we’ve faced many changes and new features on SWAPD, with even more to come in 2024. We now have 1-1 on-site chats, and global chat channels. Shoutout to the General chat people, who never fail to keep the corny conversations going.

From January 1st, we’re moving to a new billing system that’ll help us stay compliant, and offer better and quicker payment services to you. Some of these changes include credit card payments, a sought-after payment method by many of you. We hope you’re as excited as we are!

In 2024…

  1. We expect bank wires to come back. However, we’re not too optimistic about them sticking around, because of new laws and regulations we’re required to rely on 3rd party payment processors. If they decide to toss us again, SWAPD will become a crypto-only platform. The good news is that our No-FIAT December went quite well. We literally saw almost no decline in sales. There were only a handful of users who had problems buying crypto.
  2. We expect new features in 2024, and while not all of them are guaranteed, we plan to introduce things such as personal store pages, price filtering tools, expanded user badges, expansion of our AI bots, and a few other things.
  3. Credit cards will be available (to VIPs and higher, initially). As with bank wires, their future will be uncertain. We are talking with high-risk payment merchants who could guarantee us uninterrupted service, but their fees are high.
  4. We plan to out-PR and out-SEO our competition. We will no longer rely on word of mouth for business. It’s time to step it up.
  5. We will keep our focus on being the ONLY ethical website in our industry by keeping scammers/bots/automation/sketchy things away.
  6. SWAPD is being absorbed by an LLC, which means your deposits are ULTRA safe now, because they can be managed/refunded in case the site owners DIE. (Yes, that could happen!)

Thank you all for this incredible and, at times, terrifying year. We’ve witnessed many individuals rise and also fall. Fortunately, as members of SWAPD, we will always have each other’s support. Let’s work together to conquer the world, and I’ll see you all at the table.
