That would be awesome
This was suggested a while ago and i blv swapd said its not that easy aka hes lazy to do it
The values for tickets aren’t saved anywhere in the database, they’re loosely posted as text inside posts. This is a forum, not a sales platform, even though we’re trying to turn it into one. We would have to go over around 10,000 tickets and enter each value (past value) manually, ONLY to keep entering until the end of times.
Let’s break that down into man-hours (I am giving OPTIMAL time estimates here and not counting in distractions, slower loading, problems, etc):
- Locate user with history 3-4 sec.
- Navigate through ticket, find price 4-6 sec.
- Navigate to his admin profile 2 sec.
- Enter the earned/spent value, hit save 3-4 sec.
Do that 10,000 times and that’s 42 man-hours just to enter the old data. Combine that with developer costs (I estimate around 1000-2000 USD) and you see why I am hesitant to do this just so the users have the ability to load their panel, look at the amount and say “cool” only to get bored with it and never check it again.
I like the idea of this but we need to rethink things to see if there is a better way.
Eneter that new purchase/sale is stored.
