SWAPD is a trusted middleman service dedicated to offering our users the safest way to buy, sell, or trade items and services of virtual nature. SWAPD opens doors for you to earn and rise to fame in the digital universe by connecting you with vast network of buyers, sellers, and opportunities.
We’re currently doing the final fixes/touchups on SWAPD 3.0. Just so everyone is up to speed, here are the upcoming changes.
The most significant and important feature is the CHAT update. Our messenger-style chat will change the way you do business on SWAPD. Things just move along so much faster. Private member-to-member chat will feature things such as attachments, emojis, gifs, and the ability to invite other users or tag staff. Just like PMs, all communications will be monitored for offsite activity and scam attempts.
Group (public) chat rooms. Just like you see in some of the well-known communicators, we will have open-to-the-public chat communities.
Customizable sidebar (togglable). Users will be able to customize things such as favorite categories, search for tags, and quickly see the members they’re chatting with, along with new message notifications.
Gamification. We will have leaderboard-style tracking for things such as invites and activities. Every month, we will award three top members with various prizes.
Reddit-style post/topic upvote system (for specific categories).
UI changes. We’re adding a sidebar, redoing the header, and changing the dropdown user navigation layout. A straightforward dark/light mode selector will also be included in the sidebar.
Additional ad space. We are introducing 3x link-text fields for ads, seen on top of the sidebar on every page. In addition, sponsored search results will be a thing, and keyword-triggered ads in public chatrooms.
An easy-to-use (sitewide) button used for sharing SWAPD. The button will generate a non-spammy-looking link that doesn’t look like a referral URL. Making money with SWAPD Rewards will be even easier.
We will group multiple “bump” notifications inside topics to reduce scroll time.
Misc fixes/improvements to various plugins, too many to list.
These changes will not be implemented all at once, but they will all roll our in the upcoming weeks. We’re also moving to better hardware. It will speed up our website for everyone. If you have any last-minute (and non-extensive) wishes, state them in this topic. Thank you for reading.
One last thing. SWAPD staff will not provide site support over chat, as we expect to be flooded with messages. The only way of keeping things tidy (for us) is to send us a PM. But you’re welcome to say HI
Currently, when you private message a user in a new thread, the thread does not appear in messages until the user responds. Sometimes i start 2-3 different private message threads when looking for services because i cant tell who i have and have not messaged.
Also, I have multiple tickets with the same people however, they’re only allowed to leave 1 feedback per 24 hours. This limitation should be removed as feedback is restricted to valid closed tickets only so it shouldn’t matter if there’s 1 feedback that needs to be given or 20.
