TransferWise.com has closed our company account. Important information regarding your payments and ongoing transactions

Oh, and they pulled the “even if you didn’t violate any terms we may choose to terminate your account per our own judgment” card. I see they learned from the best (us).

Think you should speak to the CEO, super active on LinkedIn. Fairly he’d reply

My only guess is you guys are losing them money somehow. I assume their whole business model is based on the average joe who uses it a few times a year

Oh, they’re really having fun with us now, they literally just emailed us this:

Since the last payment that was sent to us was attempted by @RandyMarsh, I fully blame him.

I’m glad to be part of it.

Please ignore all TransferWise.com references in our responses, support pages, terms of service, and any other pages you may find, including our fee calculator. We’re waiting to hear back from appeals before we take any action. Correcting so many pages is time-consuming and will take a while. Thank you for understanding.

Ah that’s really sad to hear guys.

Hope you get it back… 2020 and we’re still having issues sending money across the internet, reliably and safely… weird af

Sucks to hear that. I started using TransferWise only since I’ve seen you guys are highly recommending it. Hope you get it sorted out soon and/or find a better alternative.

Bullshit companies.

Unfortunately paypal then now transferwise! They are coming after us

Sad Reacts for Tw :slightly_frowning_face:

A theory is that they’re going after accounts that are involved in our type of business. Mainly because I don’t see how it could be a coincidence, that first our account, and then @SMM’s account. There is no chatting about any account closings on social media, making it seem very targeted.

While TransferWise reserves the right to terminate accounts without reason, aren’t they technically liable if they close a series of accounts belonging to a specific group of people? E.g if they only closed accounts of black people, or transgender people.

What if I, SMM and Swapd identify as Social Media Marketers - wouldn’t it be discrimination against social media marketers? IDEK. Typical hits the blunt-moment. Friday thoughts. Been a rough week.

This happened to me recently when on the final stages of setting up my account. Then they reopened my account after one month of drilling emails at them.

It looks like the same approach Paypal has with Dropshippers

I’m pretty sure somebody told them that your company is involved in Digital Assets/Social Media assets transactions and hence they disabled you

These companies are scared of high % chargebacks or claims and they consider this category as risky

Wishing that you can solve this cause honestly Transferwise is the fastest, easiest and cheapest payment provider IMHO
