Understanding Your Final Balance After a SWAPD Transaction

If you notice a difference between the expected payout and the final amount you received, this guide explains why. Many questions like this come from members who have not yet reviewed our full SWAPD Fees Explained page.

Why was more deducted than I anticipated?

Every transaction includes a SWAPD service fee, which covers:

  1. Administration of Checkout Tickets
  2. Compliance checks, including AML/KYC verification
  3. Oversight of subcontractor deliveries and dispute handling
  4. Payment processing and chargeback risk management

In addition, transactions may incur third-party processing costs (bank fees, crypto network fees, etc.), which are detailed on our SWAPD Fees Explained page.

Please note: All members must agree to our fee terms during the Checkout Ticket process. Transactions cannot be completed without that agreement.

For full details, see our Fee Chart.

Bank Wire Transactions

Bank wires carry an additional cost of 30–90 USD depending on the banks involved.

  • Outgoing wires from SWAPD’s bank usually range 15–45 USD.
  • Receiving banks may also deduct their own fees (another 15–45 USD).

This method is best for transactions above 1,000 USD, since fees stay fixed whether transferring 1,000 or 10,000 USD.

Example for a 1,000 USD wire (max fees assumed):

  • Buyer sends: 1,000 USD
  • Outgoing bank fee: -45 USD → 955 USD remains
  • SWAPD service fee (9% on 1,000): -90 USD → 865 USD
  • Receiving bank fee: -15 to -45 USD → final net between 820–850 USD

Subcontractors should factor these external costs into their pricing.

Crypto Transactions

Crypto payments typically involve only small network fees. However, because cryptocurrency values fluctuate, the final amount received may differ from the value at the time of payment.

SWAPD (operated by VEYYO LP, Canada) does not assume responsibility for market volatility affecting crypto values during transfer.

Reminder:
All payments are processed by SWAPD (VEYYO Limited Partnership, Canada) as Merchant of Record. Once payment is submitted, legal title to the funds transfers to VEYYO. Final payouts are subject to SWAPD’s service fees and any third-party processing charges.

Disclaimer

SWAPD reserves the right to adjust service fees, processing fees, or restrict available payment methods at its discretion in response to risk factors, regulatory requirements, or changes in third-party provider costs.
