Understanding the Grace Period

When you purchase properties or services on SWAPD, a mandatory 24-hour grace period is in effect after the transfer (or service) is completed. This also applies to mentorship tickets, which have a 7-day grace period. This practice ensures that every transaction on SWAPD undergoes proper verification, and that the seller’s statements are accurate, and the agreed-upon terms are upheld. During this period, buyers should inspect the purchased item or service for any issues and ensure it aligns with the transaction terms.

Rules and Recommendations for the Grace Period:

  • Buyers are not permitted to make significant alterations to the purchased property, such as name changes, bio modifications, content deletions, or uploading harmful content, among others. Failing to adhere to this rule may disqualify buyers from the option to return the item.
  • Buyers are encouraged to conduct a few test posts to assess activity (if applicable).
  • Thorough research is advised for any aspects deemed important by buyers.
  • Buyers should verify the property’s statistics (if applicable) against what the seller presented in their listing.
  • Buyers acknowledge that they have 24 hours before the grace period concludes. Failure to report any potential issues within this timeframe will result in the release of funds to the seller.
  • All services, without exception, are subject to a mandatory grace period.
  • Buyers have the choice to waive the grace period upon request. However, this action will immediately forfeit any future support from SWAPD staff in case of issues with the purchased item or service. SWAPD retains the right to decline disputes for tickets where the grace period was skipped.

Grace Period Exceptions:

For YouTube channel transfers, a 7-day waiting period is in place during which the buyer is included in the channel permissions list. Therefore, the mandatory 24-hour grace period does not apply to such tickets.
